Chord progression:

II: Cm I Cm I Cm I Cm I
I Fm I Fm I Cm I Cm I
I Ab7 I G7 I Cm I Dm7b5 G7 :II

On the track, you will hear extensions of these chords - as is common in jazz of course :)

Scale suggestions:

C minor pentatonic scale - C Eb F G Bb (C)

C minor blues scale - C Eb F F# G Bb (C)

C minor scale -C D Eb F G Ab Bb (C)

Ab7 chords :

Ab Lydian Dominant - Ab Bb C D Eb F Gb (Ab)

G7 chords:

C harmonic minor scale - C D Eb F G Ab B (C)

Or

Treat it as an altered chord and use the altered scale:

G altered scale - G Ab Bb B Db Eb F (G)

The altered scale is the mode which starts on the 7th step of the melodic minor scale, so in other words - the notes of G altered scale are the same as those of Ab melodic minor scale :)

The 7th arpeggios will come in useful:

Cm7 - C Eb G Bb

Fm7 - F Ab C Eb

Ab7 - Ab C Eb Gb

G7 - G B D F

Dm7b5 - D F Ab C

HAPPY JAMMING!
