Bio
Quist (Jacob Quistgaard) is a Danish-born guitarist, based in Los Angeles, USA.
With more than 85 million views on YouTube, he loves to interact with his growing online family, through his music, jam tracks, improvisations and tour vlogs.
He has been the lead guitarist with British rock legend Bryan Ferry (Roxy Music) since 2014, touring worldwide and featuring on his latest album Avonmore, alongside legends Nile Rodgers, Mark Knopfler, Johnny Marr, Flea and Marcus Miller.
As a guitarist, he has performed at venues such as The Royal Albert Hall, The Hollywood Bowl, Coachella, Glastonbury and Abbey Road, as well as on many prime time TV & radio shows around the world.
Having won a scholarship to study jazz at the prestigious Royal Academy of Music in London, Quist has since held Masterclasses and guest sessions at Tech Music Schools, BIMM London and Musicians Institute in Hollywood, to name a few.
In 2017, progressive guitar label FretMonkey Records released Quist's debut instrumental album Trigger
The album features bass players Guy Pratt (Pink Floyd) and Jonathan Harvey (Bill Laurance from Snarky Puppy), drummers Dave De Rose (Mark Ronson) and Cherisse Osei (Mika), as well as keyboard player/producer Magnus Fiennes (Shakira).
He will be performing worldwide in 2018, including at NAMM 2018 (California), Malaysia, The Maldives and Festival de Guitarra (Columbia)
